Direct
Engagement Inc. in conjunction with its sponsoring partners
facilitates a unique and authoritative means to obtain un-edited
and un-scripted primary data directly from the industry decision
makers in a real-time discussion forum.
Peer-to-Peer
Roundtable Format
In today's economic environment there is a discontinuity amongst
various layers of stakeholders. From the inception of government
policy to its interpretation by business operationally down to the
ultimate impact it has on the end-user/consumer there is a level
of discontinuity if not an outright disconnect.
The Peer-to-Peer
Roundtables are comprised of panelists and audience members in a
real-time, unscripted discussion on the most pressing topical issues
of the day. They represent three levels of interdependent stakeholders
that comprise:
A. Government which imposes policy constraints that organizations
must run under.
B. Executive Management that must steer their organizations
according to the policy constrictions imposed by governments.
C. End-users/Consumers who are affected
operationally on a day-to-day basis.
In an open interactive exchange, experiences are shared on the most
critical contemporary issues. Panelists discuss and interact from
their unique perspective with their peers and that of the audience.
Concerns, requirements and best practices are deliberated collectively
in real-time. The roundtables are not driven as policy forums, seminars,
debates, conferences or guest speaker engagement opportunities. It
is a real-time forthright peer-to-peer interactive exchange on the
most significant operational subjects facing industry's stakeholders
today.
Interactive Format:
The distinctive format is well adapted to television,
small boardroom participation or to larger events of 100 plus people.
The roundtables may be facilitated by any number of types of media
from live interactive, television, webcast or a combination of all
varieties of media in a highly impactful communications event.
Moderator:
A moderator presides over the roundtable. The moderator
will convene the roundtable and introduce each panelist. Following
the introductions the moderator will put forward the discussion theme
of the roundtable to the forum after which each panelist in succession
will be provided an opportunity to expound on it through their particular
viewpoint. Once each panelist has spoken and had an opportunity for
re-direct and follow-up comments the first question from the audience
is entertained.
Panelists:
Each panelist is first provided an opportunity to put
forward their perspective based on the discussion theme. Panelists
may pose questions to other panelists and may follow-up with comments
to both panelist responses and audience questions. Each panelist
is also provided an opportunity for closing remarks.
Audience:
Audience members are invited guests of the organizers and
Direct Engagement that represent industry people, associations, vendors
and government. They will have an opportunity prior to the convening
of the roundtable to meet with other registrants and panelists over
refreshments. Upon adjournment of the roundtable they will have an
opportunity again to introduce themselves and meet with the panelists
and other members of the audience. Audience members will be invited
to participate in the discussion by posing questions to the panel.
A question is posed by being recognized by the moderator who will
ask the person to identify themselves and then pose a question.
During webcast and television roundtables the audience will interact
with the panelists through email questions and/or phone-in questions.
Media:
Media are invited to attend and must apply to receive accreditation
from the organizers by emailing events@directengagement.com .
Their event badges will clearly indicate that they are 'Media'. Media
may also be recognized by the moderator to pose a question to the
panel under the same format as audience members pose questions. All
media must identify themselves accordingly during the meet and greet
session prior to the roundtable convening, during the refreshment
break and at the adjournment of the roundtable when engaging both
panelists and audience members.
